Choose the Right Cloud Service for your Organization

Cloud technology is known to offer three kinds of services to all its customers. These services include Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

Computers have dominated the transactions and working of millions of businesses and companies situated on the face of this planet. Initially, computers were standalone machines, whose utility was restricted to limited business transactions. Yet, within a span of two decades, the internet weaved them together in a highly cohesive network.

Cloud computing is the next level of innovation in the world of computers. This technology, which is simply referred as ‘The Cloud’, is a sophisticated framework of services meant for on-demand computing, In other words, this technology provides everything ranging from applications to data centres, which constitute together as computing resources.

The biggest speciality of this technology is ‘Versatility’. In layman terms, if the IT requirements of your company change within a short span of time, then this technology will surely scale up to match them. As a result, you may neither have to face abrupt fluctuations in IT budget nor have to worry about allocation of resources.

Every organization, who opts for cloud technology, is known to avail either one or combination of these three services.

  • PaaS

PaaS or Platform as a Service is known to provide a virtual, cloud based environment for sustaining all the software and IT services required by company. Vendors provide this facility by supporting an environment that helps to develop and deploy web-based applications, which do not require individual hardware, OS software, and dedicated hosting.

  • SaaS

SaaS or Software as a Service is a facility provided to remotely connected computers to run web-based or cloud based applications. This eliminates the requirement of individual licensing and offers the provision of using software according to the need.

  • IaaS

IaaS or Infrastructure as a Service helps to provide computing resources to companies, which are unable to setup IT assets of their own. In layman terms, this service covers the facilities of servers, network devices, and storage and data centres easily on pay-per-use basis.

These are the three prime services covered by cloud technology.
